TSC 10 and Under Swimmers Love Chocolate Milk!
VERY SUCCESSFUL TOP CUP
The TSC 10 and under swimmers had an amazing experience this past weekend at Top Cup. Many of our swimmers who have aged up know, and understand that Top Cup is a very special meet.

Each swimmer that participated in this years meet did an amazing job. The athletes demonstrated determination in the water, and the willingness to push their body to a whole new level. Our swimmers showed great team spirit and sportsmanship. This year we had the youngest squad of neophyte swimmers who are looking promising in the future. We placed 4th overall.

A big thank you goes out to the TSC coaching staff: Liz Warden, Kristen Mcilroy, Niki Remek, and Thanh Nguyen who were instrumental in enabling our future stars to shine over the weekend. It speaks volumes how quickly each child has developed in one year. Their desire to train, challenge one another, learn about stroke technique will make them a better athlete in the future.

A great big thank you goes out to the swimmers who volunteered as junior coaches this weekend. They are: Isabella Jamieson, Cayley Pimentel (volunteered her entire weekend), Austyn Wunche, and Alexandra Waite. They were instrumental in making sure each swimmer was prepared and ready behind the racing block.

The Top Cup t-shirt that each swimmer received was designed by Andrew Williams (Bronze 1 swimmer). The theme for the meet was chocolate milk. Did you know that milk is a great recovery drink after a meet?

Congratulations, to all swimmers for achieving personal best times. A special note to the introductory group who swam with lots of heart and for the first time racing many big events. Each one of you should be proud of your accomplishments. You learned valuable lessons this weekend that will enable you to become a better athlete.

Congratulations, goes to Aleksa Gold who did something very special.No swimmer in Top Cup history has every won all 13 events. Job well done!

To all the 9 and 10 year old swimmers who raced both short course, and long course events all weekend. I am proud of each one of you for your resilience and desire to race.

Congratulations, goes to Alexis Bragman and Aleksa Gold for qualifying for their first Provincial Championship.

Domingo, Liu, and Bull bring home large medal count
Congratulations goes to Sean Domingo, Edward Liu, and Jenna Bull who competed at last weeks Provincial TriMeet as part of Team Ontario. These swimmers represented TSC and Ontario with great performances.

2008 Open Water Championships - Seville, Spain
Toronto Swim Club's Zsofi Balazs, as well as the three other members of Team Canada - Karley Stutzel, Jarrod Ballem and Phillipe Dubreuil are getting ready to race in the 2008 Open Water Swimming Championships in Seville Spain.

Zsofi competes on Saturday at 10 am (local time) in the 10 K Race.
