TSC Takes on the Best in the World in Michigan
Over the Long Weekend a TSC Squad of 12 Swimmers traveled to Ann Arbor Michigan to compete at the Eric Namesnik Memorial Grand Prix. Our Women placed 4th overall against some of the best teams in the United States. Finalists competing against big name swimmers like Michael Phelps and Katie Hoff were Helen Pitchik, Paige Schultz, Marco Monaco, and Kyle Smerdon.

TSC 10 and Unders Rock at the 2007 TOP CUP
Congratulations go to Lukasz Kosiorek who won the 10 year old boys TOP CUP high point trophy. His work ethic, determination, and his love of the sport have enabled him to be the most dominant 10 year old boy in Canada. He faced some of the best swimmers in Ontario and Quebec. He has rewritten the 10 year old boys TSC club records in 14 combined individual categories at the 2007 TOP CUP. Way to go Lukasz!
Toronto Swim Club came in fourth place overall at the 10 and Under 2007 TOP CUP Championship at Etobicoke Olympium. Congratulations to the entire 10 and under TSC team for a job well done. Racing was the name of the game and each swimmer reached their goals both individually and as a team attaining valuable team points.
A big thanks goes out to Kristen McIlroy and Liz Warden for their great coaching and support this weekend. Special thanks go out to our volunteers Cayley Pimentel, Simone Cseplo, David Riley, Andres Fernandes, and Maddy Stokes, who were instrumental in making sure swimmers were ready behind the racing blocks.
The 10 and unders were impressed with their TOP CUP t-shirts. A big thanks goes out to Solange Rivard for the amazing art design and the TSC board for enabling it to happen.

TSC Head Coach named to Pan Am Staff
Congratulations to Head Coach John Grootveld for being named as a coach to this summers Pan American Games Team. John will join TSC swimmers Hilary Bell and Zsofi Balazs this summer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Swimming events will take place from July 16th to 22nd.

Matthews swims her way to her first Provincial cut

Over the past weekend Edward Liu and Kaleigh Heard swam as part of Team Ontario in Halifax at the Eastern Tri Meet. Edward Liu won the 50 Free, 100Fly, and 200 Fly. Kaleigh won the gold in the 200 Breast.

TSC Girls to Represent Canada at Pan Am Games
Zsofi Balazs and Hilary Bell have been Officially named to the Canada's Pan American Games Team. This multi sport event will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. TSC is proud to have these young women represent our Team and Country.

TSC Boys Break 2 More Canadian Records
11-12 boys: Edward Liu, Danny Demyanenko-Jimenez, David Riley, and Max Celej destroy 2 Canadian Records, 4x50 Free relay 1:52.92 and the 4x50 Medley Relay 2:05.87. This puts 11-12 Boys relay record count at 6 Canadian and all 8 Ontario Relay Records.

Zsofi Balazs Canadian Citizen
Congratulations to Zsofia Balazs for being sworn in yesterday (May 1st) as a Canadian Citizen, making her eligible to compete this summer for Canada at the Pan American Games in Brazil!
